29 CFR 1926.352(c): Welding was conducted in the presence of flammable compounds creating a hazard: Employees were explosion to explosion hazards. This was most recently documented on December 14, 2020, at 1601 W. McKay Street in Frontenac, Kansas. An employee was welding an isolation valve onto a natural gas supply line when the line exploded due to the presence of flammable compounds. The gas line was not tested for the presence of flammable compounds prior to the welding activity.
