29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3): Point of operation guard were not provided: Employees are exposed to amputation hazards. The employer failed to provide press operators with machine guarding on the RG-100 CNC press. This was most recently documented on or about January 6, 2021. An employee placed the workpiece backward and when he activated the press, it pinched his tumb between the workpiece and the machine resulting in an amputation. Point of operation guarding was not provided on the RG-100 CNC press.
