29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  On or about January 26, 2021 employees performing roofing work on a newly constructed commercial building were exposed to fall hazards because they were not provided fall protection when working 6 feet or more above a lower level.  Pearl Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1200464, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 21, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 500 Rodeo Center Blvd., Mesquite, Texas 75150.
