29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i):  Except as provided elsewhere in this section 29 CFR 1910.28, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the systems described in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i):  a) Production  Yard Area (Green Stacker Area): On or about January 28, 2021, and at times prior; the employer required employees to perform stacking operations without fall protection on an elevated platform with unprotected sides and edges; exposing employees to fall hazards up to approximately fifteen feet (15') to the ground below.  b) Planer Mill (Trimmer Waste Belt Area): On or about January 28, 2021, and at times prior; the employer required employees to perform housekeeping/cleaning operations without fall protection on an elevated platform with unprotected sides and edges; exposing employees to fall hazards up to approximately nine feet (9') to the concrete below.
