29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Chemical manufacturers and importers shall obtain or develop a safety data sheet for each hazardous chemical they produce or import. Employers shall have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use. a) On or about March 3, 2021, the employer did not provide safety data sheets (SDS) for chemicals present in the workplace such as but not limited to Windex (skin and eye irritant), Invisible Glass (skin and eye irritant), Zep Alcohol Sanitizer Spray (skin and eye irritant), and Relton A-9 Aluminum Cutting Fluid (skin and eye irritant). Alcon Connectors was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1458166, citation number 1, item number 2c and was affirmed as a final order on May 26, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at Alcon Connectors, 1308 US Rt. 50 Ste. 100, Milford, Ohio 45150.

29CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following: (e)(1)(i):A list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that is referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet (the list may be compiled for the workplace as a whole or for individual work areas). a) On or about March 3, 2021, the employer had not maintained an up-to-date list of hazardous chemicals present in the workplace in that chemicals such as but not limited to Windex (skin and eye irritant), Invisible Glass (skin and eye irritant), Zep Alcohol Sanitizer Spray (skin and eye irritant), and Relton A-9 Aluminum Cutting Fluid (skin and eye irritant) were not present on the hazardous chemical list.
