29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards when conducting roofing operations on a residential structure. This was most recently observed on or about March 9, 2021 at 9311 S 177th St., Omaha Nebraska 68136. Two employees were working on the roof of a residential structure installing ice and water shielding on a newly constructed residential home at heights of over 6 feet and not utilizing any form of fall protection. Ramirez Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(13)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1369536, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 19, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 17940 Camden Ave, Elkhorn, NE 68022.
