29 CFR 1910.132(b):Employee-owned equipment: Where employees provide their own protective equipment, the employer did not assure its adequacy, including proper maintenance, and sanitation of such equipment: a) Production Area - On March 15, 2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to burns, sparks and heat hazards in that the employer failed to ensure the adequacy of an employee's protective equipment when they purchased and used their own welding sleeves while operating the spot welding machines. Die-Tech Industries, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, 29 CFR 1910.132(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1462834, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 04/10/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 102 Automation Drive, Carrolton, GA 30117.
