29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a) On or about April 16, 2021 the employer failed to ensure that effective machine guarding was in place on the spray trigger orienting device located on production line #106. Barrier guarding was not in place to prevent employees from reaching into the orienting area where the hazard of moving machine parts exists. The area advances the production pieces to the next area of the line by moving belts.   b) On or about April 26, 2021 the employer failed to ensure that effective machine guarding was in place on the bottling capping machine (SureKap) on production line #106. Barrier guarding was not in place to prevent employees from reaching into the hazardous area where moving machine parts are present. These machine parts include moving shafts and rollers which create pinch points when in operation.   c) On or about April 26, 2021 the employer failed to ensure that effective machine guarding was in place on the automatic case sealing equipment on production line #106. Barrier guarding was not in place to prevent employees from reaching into the hazardous area where moving machine parts are present. These machine parts include moving shafts and rollers which create pinch points when in operation.
