29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) P&L Pallet Repair Shop: On or about May 24, 2021 and at times prior, employees were exposed to unexpected hazardous energy from pneumatic and electric components while changing out saw blades, greasing, and conducting other maintenance work on the Heartland Fabrication and Machine, Inc. pallet saw. The employer failed to develop, document, and utilize procedures to effectively control hazardous energy for employees that perform blade changes and saw greasing.
