29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about June 17, 2021, the employer had not provided information and training on hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to isobutane and propane which employees are exposed to during the manufacturing of polyethylene foam. Training should cover the written hazard communication program, health hazards associated with the chemicals, methods to detect the release of hazardous chemicals, measures employees can take to protect themselves from exposure to the chemicals, and safety data sheets.
