29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i): At this establishment, the employer's written Hazard Communication Program did not include a complete chemical inventory list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present in the workplace. MCAS BEQ Project, Building 5698: Employees were using chemical products such as Ultraflex 2 which is a corrosive while laying tile in the bathrooms and/or floors . A copy of the employer's written hazard communication program provided did not contain a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present at the worksite. Employees were exposed to chemical corrosives which had the potential to cause serious eye and/or skin damage.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) MCAS BEQ Project, Building 5698: Employee(s) used corrosive chemicals such as Mapei Ultraflex 2, Mapei Kerapoxy Part A, Mapei Kerapoxy Part B, Ultracolor Plus FA to complete tile work in the bathroom(s) walls and floors then clean up operations. The employer had not provided training specific to the health and safety hazards of hazardous chemicals at the time of initial assignment. Employees were exposed to serious eye and skin burns.
