29 CFR 1926.1153(i)(1): Communication of respirable crystalline silica hazards to employees-Hazard communication. The employer did not include respirable crystalline silica in the program established to comply with the hazard communication standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200). The employer shall ensure that each employee has access to labels on containers of crystalline silica and safety data sheets, and is trained in accordance with the provisions of HCS and paragraph (i)(2) of this section. The employer shall ensure that at least the following hazards are addressed: Cancer, lung effects, immune system effects, and kidney effects. a) Moran Masonry, 5145 Avonia Rd, Fairview, Pennsylvania - On or about October 14, 2021, and at times prior thereto: Employees worked with and/or were potentially exposed to respirable crystalline silica while cutting masonry block and mixing mortar. Employer had not provided employees with information and training about the hazards of respirable crystalline silica. Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement

Hazard communication training had not been provided to employees. Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement
