29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) The Ohio Art Company on or about October 7, 2021, at the address of 1 Toy St. Bryan, OH: The employer did not ensure the coater of the UV4 line was adequately guarded. Employees working on or near the UV4 line at the Hebenstreit Metal Decorators (HMD) Sheet Coating Machine (MDC8000, #MDC818) were exposed to in going nip point hazards between the Anilox Roller and the Lacquer Cylinder.
