29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Production Area B-14: On or about 10/18/2021, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards while using the Grizzly (Model G05555) Band Saw, in that the blade guard was not used on the non-working portion of the blade when used to cut excess plastic from Kawasaki Mule UTV part #14073-0789.
