29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system:   a)	Building X-70 Norfolk Naval Station: On or about 11/03/2021, subcontractor employees on a 3:12 pitch metal roof were not protected from a possible fall in that employees disconnected from their rope grab multiple feet away from an extension ladder before exiting the roof.  b)  Building X-70 Norfolk Naval Station: On or about 11/03/2021, an employee was observed exiting a 3:12 pitch metal roof without fall protection as a result was exposed to a possible 12ft fall hazard.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
