1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms were not kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition. Wood Shop: Employees used the Delta radial arm saw to cut wood. Saw dust measuring four inches high was built up on the workbench and not maintained in a clean condition. Employees were exposed to fire hazards.

1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.4 The eyewash unit shall be located on the same level as the hazard and the path of travel shall be free of obstructions that may inhibit the immediate use of the equipment. Auto/Golf Cart Maintenance Shop: Employees performed battery charging and installing operations with EastPenn golf cart batteries. The eye wash station located close to the batteries had soap bottles on the basin and was not available to the employees for immediate use. Employees were exposed to an eye injury.
