29 CFR 1910.307(c):Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: a. Rice Hulls - On or about February 4, 2022, The receptacles, lights, Romex and all electrical systems present in the rice hulls area were not rated for hazardous locations, employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards from the unrated electrical equipment installed in areas with combustible rice hulls dust. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
