29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) In the Foam department, employees were operating vertical bandsaw to cut Foams, were exposed to the hazard of amputation. The employer did not ensure that blade was guarded properly at the point of operation. The Western Industries Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1498845, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 12, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1919 E. Pawnee, Wichita, KS 67216.
