29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds was not fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports as specified in paragraphs 1926.451(b)(1)(i)-(ii) a- Camelot Development, Building 3, Toms River NJ - A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 18 feet 2 inches to the ground surface below, when performing framing and other related activities from a job built supported scaffold whose walking and working surface was not fully planked between the front uprights and the guardrails supports. Condition observed on or about 02/24/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. a- Camelot Development, Building 3, Toms River NJ - A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 18 feet 2 inches to the ground surface below, when performing framing and other related activities from a job built supported scaffold that was missing guard rails and was not fully planked. Condition observed on or about 02/24/22. Silva Brothers Construction Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1388652, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/29/19, with respect to a workplace located at 2 Charles Drive, Egg Harbor Township NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
