29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1):Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o). On or about January 21, 2022, in the pre-clean crusher department, pulleys which were 7-feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded on the tail pulley of the 5/8 line conveyor exposing employees to caught-in and amputation hazards. Strategic Materials, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.219(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1509329, Citation Number 1, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 24, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 3240 Robinson Road, Midlothian, Texas 76034.

29 CFR 1910.219(e)(3)(i): Vertical or inclined belt(s) were not enclosed by guard(s) conforming to the requirements specified at 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o)of this section: On or about January 21, 2022, in the pre-clean crusher department, vertical belts were not enclosed by guards, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck-by and caught-in the belts. Strategic Materials, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.219(e)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1287586, Citation Number 1, Item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on July 31, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 3070 Roosevelt Highway, College Park, GA 30349.
