29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):"Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about April 13, 2022, at a work-site located at 220 Drott Street, Schofield, WI: A subcontractor employee was exposed to a fall hazard of 11 feet while walking along an unprotected edge of an elevated wall section on the south side of the building. RAO Construction, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1558595, Citation 1, Item 1 and was affirmed as a Final Order on 02/23/2022 with respect to a worksite located at 220 Drott Street, Schofield, WI.
