29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2):Guards shall be affixed to the machine where possible and secured elsewhere if for any reason attachment to the machine is not possible. The guard shall be such that it does not offer an accident hazard in itself. On or about April 1, 2022 the guards on the Handi-Kup machine were not affixed to the machine to protect employees from moving parts which resulted in an injury. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
