29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s): 24 Area Mess Hall Renovation, Building 2403: Employees were conducting drywall mudding operations. The employer did not maintain a copy of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical such Easy Sand 45 which contained crystalline silica used in the building during assigned tasks. Employees were exposed to skin irritant hazards. The requirements applicable to construction work under this section are identical to those set forth at 29 CFR 1910.1200 of this chapter.
