29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: A.) Clarion Sintered Metals; sizing department- on or about 5/3/22, and times prior thereto, employees were working at and around sizing presses which did not have machine guarding in place to prevent employees from contacting moving parts. The moving parts included, but were not limited to, the rotary table which includes the plunger. The condition existed on the sizing presses including, but not limited to 4835. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.145(f)(4)(iv):The signal word and the major message shall be understandable to all employees who may be exposed to the identified hazard: a.) Clarion Sintered Metals, Sizing Department, on or about 5/24/22 and times prior thereto: A safety label attached to the left side of the press labeled "WARNING" with information about keeping fingers out of the index of the wheel opening was not legible due to cords being mounted in front of portions of the label. The label was associated with the rotary table on Press 4835. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement
