29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a). Smith & Young Roofing LLC. On or about June 22, 2022, at the address of 217 N Wood St. Fremont OH 43420: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while working on top of a multi-pitch two-story residential roof with various height. Employee(s) removing old shingles from atop the structure were exposed to falls of 21ft and greater to the ground below. Smith & Young Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1498936, citation number 2, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on May 6, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 517 West Main Street, Bellevue, OH 44811.
