OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: Each employer shall furnish to each of its employees? employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to its employees in that employees were potentially exposed to a lack of training on an ancillary device to prevent injuries from machine hazards: A.) On or about August 8/25/22, the Employer had no documented training on the utilization of push sticks for an employee on the 12x12 Panel Chop Digital Panel Saw Model # PC059649 Serial #7785.? ABATEMENT NOTE: 1. Documented push stick training 2. All sensing devices (e.g. light curtains/photo cells) used as guarding are tested before use per the industry recognized standard: ANSI B11.19. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
