1910.9(b)  Training. Standards in this part requiring training on hazards and related matters, such as standards requiring that employees receive training or that the employer train employees, provide training to employees, or institute or implement a training program, impose a separate compliance duty with respect to each employee covered by the requirement. The employer must train each affected employee in the manner required by the standard, and each failure to train an employee may be considered a separate violation. [FR 73 75583, Dec. 12, 2008] 29 CFR  1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.   a) On or about June 5, 2024, the employer did not ensure the work floor around the Cummins assembly area by the back dock were kept in a clean and orderly manner, employees were exposed to tripping and caught in hazards from air hoses laying on the ground in the work area.  An employee's leg was caught in the air hose of a nail gun, causing the employees to come in contact with the actuating device of the nail gun, resulting in a puncture injury.  b) On or about June 12, 2024, the employer did not ensure the work floor around the Cummins assembly area by the back dock were kept in a clean and orderly manner, employees were exposed to tripping and caught in hazards from air hoses laying on the ground in the work area.
