1926.652(b)(4)(i)  Sloping and benching systems not utilizing Option (1) or Option (2) or Option (3) under paragraph (b) of this section shall be approved by a registered professional engineer.   On or about September 7, 2022 at the worksite located on US Highway 151, near N9764 U.S. Highway 151, Chilton, Wisconsin, employees were exposed to cave-in hazards near the bottom 8 feet of the excavation, where the sloping did not meet the requirements delineated in paragraph (b).
