Employees engaged in residential roofing operations were exposed to struck by hazards while operating pneumatic nail guns without eye protection. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. On or about September 15, 2022 at the jobsite located at Site 198 S. Wind Dr., Sandwich, IL 60548. Employees were engaged in residential framing activities and were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 9 feet while working on the installation of the second floor joists. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
