29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:   a) 705 Bailey Road, Syracuse, NY 13212: On or about 10/4/2022, the employer did not provide ladders for roof access that were 3 feet above the upper landing surface, exposing workers to falls of greater than 9 feet.  The (Melo Roofing) was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFRF 1926.1053 (b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1534773, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on (date), with respect to a workplace located at 750 West Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.
