The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

The employer maintained the safety data sheets on a computer that is not accessible to employees in the Melt Shop during the work shift. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Standard Steel, LLC, 500 N Walnut Street, Burnham PA 17009 - On or about October 20, 2022, employees in the work area were adding Tundish Flux TS001, a corrosive powder, to the melt, and the portable eye wash station did not contain bottles for flushing of the eyes in case of an emergency. b.) Standard Steel, LLC, 500 N Walnut Street, Burnham PA 17009 - On or about October 20, 2022, employees in the work area were adding Tundish Flux TS001, a corrosive powder, to the melt. Suitable facilities for immediate rinsing / flushing of the eyes (e.g., plumbed / self-contained emergency eyewash) were not present to provide the prescribed 15-20 minute of flushing of the eyes in the case of an emergency. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
