29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a.) Glen-Gery Corporation - Hanley; inspection line - On or about 11/7/22, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to caught-between hazards located between the eye sensor bar and the stack of bricks transported on the conveyor. Effective guarding was not utilized to control the hazards. An employee sustained a fingertip amputation when his finger was pinched between the eye sensor bar and the stack of bricks. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENATION REQUIRED
