29 CFR 1910.176(b):Storage of material created a hazard: a.) Glen-Gery Corporation - Hanley, Sample Room Department, on or about 06/09/2025 and times prior thereto: The first strap on the brick cube contained 105 bricks weighing at 4.1 lbs. each while an employee was operating the West Side Saw (Husqvarna MS610 7.5HP 20-inch), the first strap of bricks fell off the stand and struck the employee, causing the employee's arm to contact the saw blade. Bricks had a past history of falling from the cubes on an intermittent basis after the straps were cut which exposed employees to struck-by hazards. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. IN ADDITION, abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic, or video evidence or abatement or other written records.
