29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces were not kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition:   a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent slip, trip and struck-by hazards, as demonstrated on or about November 21, 2022, at or near 367 North Dakota 22, Killdeer, ND,  in the main storage room/receiving room and aisles in the main storeroom, were not kept clean, and orderly due to the storage of excess merchandise, exposing employees to slip and trip hazards and prevented employees from moving product in and out of the receiving/storage room onto the sales floor and from delivery trucks. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that the receiving/storage room is clean and organized.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1550619, citation number 1, item number 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2022 with respect to a workplace located at 2381 Dawes Road, Mobile, AL.   Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1550484, citation number 1, item number 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2022 with respect to a workplace located at 2912 N McCay Dr., Mobile, AL. 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) are not kept free and unobstructed:  a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent fire and entrapment hazards as demonstrated on or about November 21, 2022, at or near 367 North Dakota 22, Killdeer, ND, in the back stockroom, where employees work and retrieve the merchandise. The emergency exit door was obstructed by store merchandise, roll-tainers, and U-boats, impeding direct means of egress for employees in the event of an emergency. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that all emergency exit routes are kept unobstructed and free from product to ensure a safe walkway for employees to exit the emergency exit door in case of an emergency.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a serious willful violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1550627, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 10100 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL.
