29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Location: a) Roof, Top of parapet wall a) On or about 1/5/2023, an employee stood on top of the buildings parapet wall to move materials and employees walked on top of the buildings parapet wall to access the roof and exterior scaffold without the use of guardrails or personal fall arrest systems. The Jerrick Associates Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1321778, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/19/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 53 W 36th Street, New York, NY 10018.
