29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about January 26, 2023 the employer did not ensure that effective machine guarding was in place at the operator area of the automated cookie line. Employees are exposed to the nip point of the conveyor and power driven shaft. A guard was not in place to protect employees from the nip point created.
