29 CFR 1910.134(a)(2): A respirator was not provided by the employer to each employee when such equipment was necessary to protect the health of the employee. On or about 02/23/2023, an employee of National Cart Co., located at 3125 Boschertown Rd. in St. Charles, MO, was exposed to welding fume hazards while working at the Galvanized Welding Station without any form of respiratory protection. Industrial hygiene sampling with personal monitoring for welding fumes showed that the employee was overexposed to welding fume identified as 9130 with an exposure level of 8.1000 milligrams per cubic meter and with a Permissible Exposure Level of 5.000 with a severity value of 1.626.

On or about 02/23/2023, an employee of National Cart Co, located at 3125 Boschertown Rd. in St. Charles, MO, was exposed to welding fume hazards while working at the Galvanized Welding Station without any form of the respirator and experienced symptoms of "welding fume fever".
