29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids, or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation:  On or about February 27, 2023, the employer did not ensure that eye protective equipment was used when employees were exposed to eye injury while using pneumatic nail guns to install wooden frames.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  On or about February 27, 2023, employees were installing wooden frames on a second (2nd) story unfinished balcony area without fall protection.    1. Crane Creek Construction, LLC was previously cited for violating this occupational safety. Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection #1499135, citation 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 16, 2020with respect to a workplace located at 8453 / 8455 Picardy Ave., BATON ROUGE, LA 70809.   2. Crane Creek Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety, and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection #1619805, citation 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 6, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 609 St. Francs Parkway, The Waters at Heritage, GONZALES, LA 70737.
