29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. The employer is failing to protect employee(s) from fall injuries. This was most recently documented on or about March 22, 2023, at 527 E. Grant St. Blair, Nebraska. The employer failed to protect employee(s) from fall hazards during steel roofing operations at a heights greater than 15 feet. Gingerich Structures was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1387220, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 14, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 11550 Pawnee Rd. Omaha, Nebraska.
