29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1):Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the customer service counter, located in the north portion of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked with merchandise, which exposed employees to fire hazards. b) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the employee breakroom area, located on the east side of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked with merchandise, which exposed employees to fire hazards. c) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the tool rental station, located in the north east side store, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked with a plastic trash bin labeled "TRC", which exposed employees to fire hazards. d) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the customer checkout/customer exit, located on the north side store, the portable fire extinguisher was missing from the location where it was identified as being mounted , which exposes employees to fire hazards. e) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the emergency exit in the building materials section, located on the south east side store, the portable fire extinguisher was not identified with visible signage indicating its location, which exposed employees to fire hazards. f) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the customer entry/exit of the garden section, located on the west side of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was not properly mounted on the bracket and the area where the fire extinguisher is identified to be is blocked with merchandise and a trash receptacle, which exposed employees to fire hazards. g) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the emergency exit in the garden section , located on the west side store, the portable fire extinguisher was not identified with visible signage indicating its location, which exposed employees to fire hazards. h) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near planter/plant accessories aisle, located between the garden section and the actual indoor store, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked by a Zep manufacturing barrel , which exposes employees to fire hazards. i) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near entrance from the indoor portion of the store to the outdoor garden section, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked by a pallet of Cutter products , which exposed employees to fire hazards. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that the location of portable fire extinguisher is readily accessible. j) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the receiving area of the store, on the south west side of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked by barrels of products, which exposed employees to fire hazards. k) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the receiving area of the store, on the south side of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was not properly mounted on the bracket and the area where the fire extinguisher is identified to be is blocked with merchandise, which exposed employees to fire hazards. l) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the emergency exit in the rear of the building near the rolls of carpet, located on the south wall of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was not identified with visible signage indicating its location, which exposed employees to fire hazards. m) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the emergency exit in the rear of the building near the prefabricated counter tops, located on the south wall of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was not identified with visible signage indicating its location, which exposed employees to fire hazards. n) At The Home Depot USA Store Number 8444; 3402 Forum Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905: as demonstrated on or about April 18, 2023, near the rollup door in the rear of the building near the lumber yard area, located on the south wall of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was not identified with visible signage indicating its location, the fire extinguisher was also blocked by a propane tank, rolls of plastic that were bolted to the concrete floor and a plastic yellow trash bin, which exposes employees to fire hazards.

Store #8444 located at 3402 Forum Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33905: on or about April 2, 2023, in the lumber aisle, employees were exposed to fire and entrapment hazards, in that, the exit route was obstructed by merchandise, impeding the means of egress for employees. The Home Depot USA, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1544778, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/30/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 7200 Woodward Avenue, Woodridge, IL 60517.
