29 CFR  1910.157(c)(1):  Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located, and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:  a) The Home Depot USA, Inc. Store #8201, located at 1-2 Donoe Road 4000, Saint Thomas, VI 00802: On or about Dec 14, 2023, the employer failed to ensure effective measures to prevent fire hazards in that, the fire extinguisher located near the emergency exit, was blocked by several wooden boxes with rebar rings, a shopping cart with miscellaneous items in it, and multiple cleaning items.  NOTE:  Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c).

Store #8201, located at 1-2 Donoe Road 4000, Saint Thomas, VI 00802:  On or about Dec 14, 2023, employees and/or management officials stored items such as, but not limited to, push cart with multiple merchandise, including wood trim (8 FT Long) in front of a Type I, 208 Volts, 60 Hertz,  electrical panels, exposing employees to electrical hazards associated with not being able to shut off equipment in case of an emergency.  NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item, as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.

29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3):  Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:  a) The Home Depot USA, Inc. Store #8201, located at 1-2 Donoe Road 4000, Saint Thomas, VI 00802:  On or about Dec 14, 2023, in the roofing Chemical aisle, employees were exposed to fire and entrapment hazards. The exit route was obstructed by merchandise, impeding employees' means of egress.  NOTE 1:  The Home Depot USA, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1544778, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 11/30/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 7200 Woodward Avenue, Woodbridge, IL 60517.  NOTE 2:  Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c).
