29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the jobsite located at 16420 Blair St. Gardner, KS, employees engaged in residential construction framing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the jobsite. Employees were handling Titebond subfloor construction adhesive, Grip-Rite all-purpose silicone adhesive, Red Devil painter's acrylic latex caulk and gasoline. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: severe skin, eye, and respiratory irritation, drowsiness or dizziness, nausea or vomiting, and can cause central nervous system (CNS) depression. Additionally, Titebond subfloor construction adhesive and gasoline, can both act as a fueling agents due to their extreme flammability as a liquid and vapor.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the jobsite located at 16420 Blair St. Gardner, KS, employees engaged in residential construction framing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that they were not provided access to Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for Titebond subfloor construction adhesive, Grip-Rite all-purpose silicone adhesive, Red Devil painter's acrylic latex caulk and gasoline at the jobsite. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: severe skin, eye, and respiratory irritation, drowsiness or dizziness, nausea or vomiting, and can cause central nervous system (CNS) depression.
