29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function. Wellton checkpoint: On or before May 4, 2023, employees conducted handling, weighing, and repackaging of illicit drugs. Employee(s) were required to wear an N95 respirator(s) who had facial hair that interfered with sealing surfaces. Employee(s) were potentially exposed to pupil contraction/dilation, respiratory distress, stiff muscles, and/or seizures. The U.S. Border Patrol was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1630018, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 13, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at U.S. Customs and Border Protection - 1st Street and Pan American, Douglas AZ 85607.
