29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about May 9, 2023 the employer Comte Construction Company at jobsite located at 2140 N. Summit St. Toledo OH 43611, did not ensure that employees are adequately protected from fall hazards while conducting construction roofing activities. Employees were exposed to an 11 foot or higher fall hazard from the roof of the structure to the ground below. Employees were working atop a steep roof with a 8:12 pitch at the peak of the roof.
