29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Grinding and Burring Department - On or about May 25th, 2023 employees were exposed to the chemical hazards of Perkote 30-248-DG (flammable liquid) and Safety Kleen Premium Solvent (central nervous system toxin) without the benefit of hazard communication training. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i):The employer did not compile a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that was referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet. On or about May 25th, 2023 the employer's written hazard communication program did not include an inventory of chemicals present in the workplace. Employees regularly use chemicals including, but not limited to, Perkote 30-248-DG and Safety Kleen Premium Solvent. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
