29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets.  (a) 3574 Yarmouth Lane, Williamstown, NJ: Exposed employees were not wearing hard hats/head protection, and were exposed to struck by hazards when working beneath and other workers who were performing framing and other related activities, while using powered hand tools and equipment. Observed on or about 05/25/2023.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

Observed on or about 05/25/2023. 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  (a) 3574 Yarmouth Lane, Williamstown, NJ: Exposed employee not wearing eye protection, was exposed to flying particles when working beneath and around workers who were performing framing and other related activities, while using powered hand tools and equipment. Observed on or about 05/25/2023.   Blue Contractor Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1651966, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 09, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 161 Summit Ave, Montvale, NJ 07645  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   (a)  3574 Yarmouth Lane, Williamstown, NJ: Worker engaged in framing and other related activities was exposed to fall hazards, up to and more than 9 feet to the ground surface below, when walking on and working on a trusses of a residential structure without the use of fall protection. Condition noted on or about 5/26/2023.
