29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): No employer shall permit employees to work in close proximity to energized, unguarded, and ungrounded electric power circuits that the employee could contact in the course of their work, unless the employees are protected against electric shock by deenergizing the circuit and grounding it or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means: a) On or about 06/13/2023, at 2927 International Drive, Kissimmee, Florida - Employees were working near PME Switch Gear that was not de-energized, exposing them to a 7,200-volts electrical hazard. Duke Energy work methods are in place that require zero-voltage checks and proper verification of energy source, however, the work methods were not followed.
