29 CFR 1910.213(c)(3): Handfed ripsaw was not provided with non-kickback fingers or dogs designed to provide adequate holding power for all thicknesses of materials being cut. On or about June 13, 2023, an employee of Koken Manufacturing Co. Inc. was exposed to struck-by hazards resulting in a hospitalization and surgical repair of perforation of small intestinal. A Saw Stop 10-inch professional cabinet saw, identified with model CB73230 and Serial No. 07015997, was not installed with non-kickback fingers or dogs that were designed to prevent the cut wood from hitting the operator and that would have prevented the struck-by hazard.
