Employee(s) were utilizing the top step of a 6-ft. Werner A-frame ladder to access supporting wood framing for the roof structure during construction activities

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system or personal fall arrest systems: At 21510 8th Terrace, Shawnee, ks, 66227 an employee engaged in framework was exposed to fall hazards in the following instances: 1. Fall hazard of approximately 6.3 feet from the edge of the elevated walkway to the ground below. 2. Fall hazard of approximately 9 feet from the edge of the elevated walkway to the ground below. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to work at heights greater than six feet without the use of appropriate fall protection Leiva Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1588810, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on June 07, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 25178 W. 91st Terr., Lenexa, KS.
