29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(i):When a powered industrial truck is left unattended, load engaging means were not fully lowered, controls were not netralized, power was not shut off, and brakes set: a) At 556 Governor Treutlen Circle, Pooler, GA 31322, on or about June 23, 2023, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that a rough terrain, extended boom forklift was allowed to be left unattended, with a load of 4ft by 8ft plywood lifted and extended to the roof, over 25 feet high, while employees walked and worked below.

Mejia Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1635368, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 3, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 66 Saussy Road, Port Wentworth, GA 31407. Mejia Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1340014, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on March 6, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 154 Ristona Dr., Lot 291, Savannah, GA 31419.
